Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated on the edge of the lagoon, offering a constant and pleasant sound of the surf. The rooms are spacious and resemble the photos shown, though they could benefit from a bit of updating and maintenance. The service was impeccable, making us feel truly at home. The dining experience was decent, with an option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast for an additional fee.
The hotel had mixed experiences with noisy rooms and inconsistent servicing. The service was a letdown, but the location was private and appealing. The dining options left much to be desired, but the facilities were satisfactory.
My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. The rooms were spacious but in need of refurbishment, and despite being only serviced once during my 9-night stay when it should have been every 3 days, the size was good. The service was a tale of two extremes - while Jeffrey from Rotuma was awesome, the overall service was lacking, especially around the resort areas close to the beach and kids facilities. The location, although good for this side of the island, provided a convenient spot for daily meetings with family. The dining experience had its ups and downs with friendly staff but lacking variety in the menu. The facilities were decent, though lacking in some areas.
The hotel was slightly disappointing regarding the distance from the beach and restaurant considering the price paid. The lack of self-catering facilities was another drawback. However, the power points in the rooms were conveniently located, and the small shower vanity was a minor inconvenience.
The hotel has very old furniture and uncomfortable beds. We had to change rooms multiple times due to cleanliness issues and things not working. The final room, supposed to be deluxe, was far from that standard. Not recommended for families or friends, and I would not stay there again. The room was only serviced once in 9 nights despite the advertised schedule. The beach view from the balcony was a plus.
